Full Blurb
Thirty, unmarried and childless. A societal crime that has earned Adelia Ashcroft the privilege of a cell under the watchful eye of the Infantry Sergeant Major. She has defied the curse placed on all in Sulis, and for that, the king believes she must be hiding something.
Adelia accepts that she is left with only one fate, wait until the weekly torture claims her life. But one visit from a prince offers her a way out: use the secret he knows she is hiding to become a soul seeker, devoting her life to reuniting missing hearts and breaking the curse.
Adelia sees a light in the darkness, a futue travelling the kingdom, some freedom in exchange for loyalty to he who may one day become king. But for the plan to work, her way out of the cell is as the wife of the Sergeant Major that issued the orders for her torture.
